Greater stability for heavy-duty tasks Large workpiece capacity combined with modern, electronically assisted direct operation.
The CMXE concept

Between a conventional lathe and CNC

The CMXE is ideal for companies that want to machine heavy workpieces flexibly without having to create a complete CNC program for every job.

01

Heavy-duty construction

The 500 mm wide bed and generously dimensioned machine structure provide high rigidity for demanding machining tasks.

02

Electronic assistance

Spindle speed, feeds and axis movements are controlled electronically and can be flexibly adapted to the workpiece and tool.

03

Direct working method

The operator remains directly at the workpiece and retains control of the machining process without conventional CNC programming.

Technology and performance

Designed for powerful and precise machining

The combination of a wide machine bed, powerful main drive and high axis thrust provides ample reserves for heavy workpieces.

01 / MACHINE BED

500 mm wide bed construction

The generously dimensioned bed provides high rigidity and low-vibration machining over workpiece lengths of up to 6,000 mm.

02 / SPINDLE DRIVE

24 / 18 kW spindle power

The powerful main drive provides ample power reserves for large diameters and heavy machining cuts.

03 / ELECTRIC AXES

Separate drives for X and Z

The axes are electronically driven, enabling smooth, precise and freely adjustable feed movements.

04 / RAPID TRAVERSE

3 m/min on both axes

Rapid traverse enables fast positioning over long machine travels and reduces non-productive time.

05 / AXIS THRUST

Up to 1,200 daN on the Z-axis

High feed forces support powerful and consistent machining under increased tool loads.

06 / SPINDLE OPTIONS

110, 130 or 160 mm bore

Different spindle variants allow adaptation to pipes, hollow shafts and larger through-workpieces.

Modern E-Series controls Set and monitor positions, speed, feed and machine functions directly at the workstation.
Direct and clearly arranged

Electronic functions without complex programming

The machine is designed for experienced turners and workshops that want modern drive technology while continuing to work directly at the workpiece.

Infinitely variable speed control The spindle speed is set to suit the diameter, material and tool.
Electronically adjustable feeds Longitudinal and cross feeds can be flexibly adapted to each machining task.
Digital position monitoring The current axis positions are displayed clearly and immediately.
Fast positioning Electric axis drives and rapid traverse support short setup and positioning times.
