Powerful turning technology for large and long workpieces

The PICOtre T was developed for demanding machining tasks that require high stability, large workpiece capacities, and direct manual operation.

The massive monolithic machine bed provides a stable foundation for medium to heavy workpieces. Center distances of up to 10,000 mm also allow for the machining of particularly long shafts and rotationally symmetrical components.

Despite its size, the machine can be operated precisely and sensitively using mechanical handwheels. This makes it particularly suitable for repair shops, heavy machine construction, and individual part manufacturing.

High-strength cast construction

The heavily ribbed spindle head is made of high-strength cast iron and offers high rigidity for demanding machining.

02 / DRIVE

Automatic three-speed gearbox

An automatic gearbox with three ranges is combined with stepless speed control via a frequency converter. This provides high performance even at low speeds.

03 / MAIN SPINDLE

Precision bearings from Timken or SKF

The precision-ground main spindle is guided in high-precision bearings and designed for high loads as well as precise roundness.

04 / NORTON GEAR

72 feeds and 54 thread pitches

The closed, oil-bath lubricated Norton gearbox offers numerous longitudinal and cross feeds as well as metric, Whitworth, module, and diametral pitch threads.

05 / SLIDE

Stable and precisely hand-scraped

The generously sized main slide is hand-scraped for optimal fitting to the machine bed and is equipped with adjustable wedge strips.

06 / TAILSTOCK

115 mm spindle with MK 6

The robust tailstock features a hardened and ground spindle with a diameter of 115 mm, a stroke of 300 mm, and a Morse taper MK 6.
