CNC productivity with the operating logic of a lathe

The Speed EVO was designed for users who want to quickly go from drawing to finished workpiece. The dialog-controlled COMEV system reduces programming effort and guides the operator clearly through the machining process.

High-resolution electronic handwheels maintain direct manual machine operation. Automatic processes are then safely executed with the machine door closed.

Thanks to its high axis dynamics and compact design, the Speed EVO is particularly suitable for individual parts, prototypes, repair parts, as well as small and medium series.

The Speed-EVO concept

For flexible manufacturing without unnecessary programming hurdles

The machine combines the accessibility of a conventional lathe with the reproducible processes of a modern CNC machine.

01

Dialog programming

Machining is created through easily understandable input masks and graphically supported cycles.

02

Manual operation

The high-resolution electronic handwheels allow operation of the machine like a conventional lathe.

03

Automatic manufacturing

Recurring processes are executed precisely and safely in closed automatic operation.

Construction and technology

High dynamics and precision in compact design

Precision spindles, pre-tensioned ball screw drives, and directly aligned axis drives ensure fast and reproducible machining processes.

01 / MAIN SPINDLE

Precision-bearing spindle

The hardened, heat-treated, and precision-ground spindle is guided in high-precision bearings within a thermally stable cast construction.

02 / X- AND Z-AXES

Pre-tensioned ball screw drives

Ground ball screw drives of accuracy class ISO 5 are pre-tensioned without play and guided in precision bearings.

03 / AXIS DYNAMICS

Rapid travel up to 25 m/min

Directly aligned axis motors to the ball screw drives enable high accelerations and particularly short positioning times.

04 / GUIDES

Hardened, ground, and hand-scraped

The bed guides are hardened and ground in a clamping setup. The slides are equipped with low-friction sliding material.

05 / LUBRICATION

Central high-pressure lubrication

Ball screw drives and guides are evenly supplied with lubricant via a multi-point distribution with metering valves.

06 / SAFETY

Dual-channel safety system

Sicherheits-SPS, Speed Manager und zertifizierte Schutzverglasung unterstützen einen sicheren manuellen und automatischen Maschinenbetrieb.

Direct manual machine operation High-resolution electronic handwheels maintain the familiar operating feel of a conventional lathe.
Exclusive COMEV control

User-friendly CNC instead of complex programming

The COMEV control has been continuously developed together with users for over 25 years. The focus is on simple operation, short setup times, and practical processing cycles.

Dialog-guided input Processing data is entered via clear input fields and cycles.
Manual operation with the door open Setting up and manual movements remain possible with adjusted safety monitoring.
Automatic operation with the door closed Finished programs are executed automatically, safely, precisely, and reproducibly.
Diagnose und Fernwartung Integrierte Diagnoseprogramme und Fernunterstützung helfen, Stillstandszeiten zu reduzieren.
USB and network connection Programs and data can be comfortably transferred and secured.
