Stabilized high-strength cast iron
The heavily ribbed spindle head is made of high-strength, stabilized cast iron. Its design provides high rigidity for heavy machining tasks.
Maximum stability for large dimensions: The COMEV Titano T is a heavy conventional lathe for long, large-volume, and particularly demanding workpieces.
The COMEV Titano T is the largest model in the conventional COMEV lathe program. Compared to the PICOtre T, it offers even larger workpiece capacities and higher power reserves.
The massive monolithic machine bed rests fully on the ground. This construction ensures high rigidity and supports low-vibration machining even with heavy workpieces and large overhangs.
Despite its dimensions, the Titano T can be operated directly and precisely via mechanical handwheels. The control unit and digital display are mounted on the carriage and move along with the operator along the machine.
Large-sized cast components, a powerful spindle drive, and precise mechanical assemblies form the basis of the Titano T.
The heavily ribbed spindle head is made of high-strength, stabilized cast iron. Its design provides high rigidity for heavy machining tasks.
Three automatically switched gear ranges are combined with stepless speed control via frequency converters.
The precision-ground spindle is guided in high-precision bearings and designed for high loads as well as precise roundness.
The closed, oil-bath lubricated Norton gearbox offers 72 longitudinal and cross feeds as well as metric, Whitworth, module, and diametral pitch threads.
The main slide is hand-scraped for precise adjustment to the machine bed and is equipped with adjustable wedge strips.
The heavy tailstock features a hardened and ground quill with a diameter of 140 mm, a stroke of 300 mm, and a Morse taper MK 6.
Digital display, machine control, and mechanical handwheels are arranged directly on the slide. This keeps all functions easily accessible even with long travel distances.
Machine operation, emergency stop, and digital display are located directly at the operator's workstation.
The heavy slide offers high stability and can still be operated sensitively via the mechanical handwheels.
The massive spindle head construction is designed for high torques, large clamping devices, and heavy workpieces.
The Titano T series covers peak heights from 500 to 700 mm and peak widths from 2,000 to 10,000 mm.
500 mm centre height and 1,000 mm swing diameter over the machine bed.
550 mm centre height and 1,100 mm swing diameter for larger workpieces.
600 mm centre height and 1,200 mm swing diameter over the bed.
650 mm centre height and a maximum swing diameter of 1,300 mm.
Largest version with 700 mm centre height and 1,400 mm swing diameter.
