01 / SPINDLE HEAD

Precise and smooth main drive

The one-piece headstock contains a mechanical gearbox with 16 geometrically stepped speeds. Hardened and ground gears ensure precise running and low noise levels.

02 / MAIN SPINDLE

Thermally stable spindle construction

The hardened and precision-ground main spindle runs in high-precision tapered roller bearings. Depending on the model, the spindle bore is 52 or 62 mm.

03 / NORTON GEAR

Wide range of feeds and threads

The enclosed, oil-bath-lubricated Norton gearbox provides numerous longitudinal and cross feeds as well as metric, Whitworth, module and diametral-pitch threads.

04 / SLIDE SYSTEM

Stable yet sensitive to operate

The generously dimensioned carriage offers high rigidity during machining while remaining precise and sensitive to operate during manual infeed movements.

05 / MACHINE BED

Solid foundation for precise machining

The wide machine bed and carefully matched guideways provide the foundation for high stability, dimensional accuracy and a long service life.

06 / TAILSTOCK

Robust and adjustable support

The one-piece tailstock features an adjustable base and a hardened and ground quill with Morse taper socket.
