Precise and smooth main drive
The one-piece headstock contains a mechanical gearbox with 16 geometrically stepped speeds. Hardened and ground gears ensure precise running and low noise levels.
Classic mechanics, robust construction, and precise machining: The conventional COMEV lathes of the MT series are reliable machines for workshops, maintenance, tool making, and single-part production.
The COMEV MT combines the tradition of Italian machine tool construction with a durable design that has been consistently developed for daily use.
Whether used regularly in production or only for special repair and modification work: The machine is always ready for use and is particularly suitable for maintenance, tool making, training, as well as single-part and small series production.
High-quality mechanical components, a stable cast construction, and direct operation via handwheels and control levers make the MT series a reliable and well-controllable workshop machine.
The MT series relies on proven mechanical assemblies, high-quality materials, and a robust construction.
The one-piece headstock contains a mechanical gearbox with 16 geometrically stepped speeds. Hardened and ground gears ensure precise running and low noise levels.
The hardened and precision-ground main spindle runs in high-precision tapered roller bearings. Depending on the model, the spindle bore is 52 or 62 mm.
The enclosed, oil-bath-lubricated Norton gearbox provides numerous longitudinal and cross feeds as well as metric, Whitworth, module and diametral-pitch threads.
The generously dimensioned carriage offers high rigidity during machining while remaining precise and sensitive to operate during manual infeed movements.
The wide machine bed and carefully matched guideways provide the foundation for high stability, dimensional accuracy and a long service life.
The one-piece tailstock features an adjustable base and a hardened and ground quill with Morse taper socket.
The clear structure simplifies setting up, operating, and maintaining the machine.
Good access to the workpiece, toolholder and steady rests makes setup and machining easier.
Mechanical handwheels and clearly arranged controls enable direct and controlled infeed movements.
The robust tailstock provides reliable support for machining between centres and drilling operations.
The series covers different workpiece diameters, turning lengths, as well as requirements for stability and performance.
Compact version with a 200 mm centre height and 52 mm spindle bore.
Reinforced version with a wider machine bed and higher machine weight.
220 mm centre height, 62 mm spindle bore and up to 2,000 mm distance between centres.
Largest version with a 260 mm centre height and 520 mm swing over the bed.
